Hi Sten,

We can track any licenses Scott / Tiger sold to any customer. In the case you not want to re-sell license, we would like to recommend to use of the Oracle Open Market Model: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7jzPbS7t5s&feature=player_embedded

With OMM we can track also the cases where you do not transact any license and most important we can ensure sales alignment and support you as our partner in our joint opportunities.

Additional your Oracle partner manager can support you in your Specialization process and analyze your transaction criteria. Are you in contact with your Oracle partner manager?

Best regards Jürgen Kress

I appreciate the part about helping us improve and document our knowledge.
But Oracle has set up a system that doesn't match the SI business model at all.

We now have to go to your customers, interrogating them "when did you get this license? where did you get this license?". This wastes our time and our customers' time, irritates them and strains our relationship - for the sole purpose of putting a checkmark into some internal Oracle database.

Please drop the software resell/co-sell/referral requirement for SIs!

Hi Sten,

thanks for your feedback on Specialization. We are highly interested that our joint customers find you the experts e.g. ADF Specialized partners. Yes our core business is to sell software licenses, that is why we do need you as our partner to deliver the services and to make our joint customers successful!
We want to recommend our customers the right partners which make them successful. Therefore we started the Specialization program, to make it easy to recognize this partners by product. To support you with Specialization we have published a Specialization eBook: Specialization eBook. In this eBook you find also details about the business criteria including the reselling. If you do use our OMM program, it’s not necessary that you sell licenses to become Specialized!

To promote Scott/Tiger we are adding more and more benefits for Specialized partners e.g. plaques, certificates, google advertisement, promote your events at oracle.com or a new solution catalog which we will launch in December.

For more information please visit our blogs:

To support you with your Specializations please become a member in our communities:
•	SOA Partner Community for registration please visit www.oracle.com/goto/emea/soa (OPN account required)
•	WebLogic Community (including ADF, Java…) for registration please visit http://www.oracle.com/partners/goto/wls-emea (OPN account required)

Best regards and a good weekend Jürgen Kress
